Deborah The Prophetess and Judge

Sibyl means prophetess in Greek and krino means Judge in Greek

The account of Deborah is in the book of Judges

Deborah is the only woman who is both prophet and Judge in the old testament. Deborah represents the word of the Lord and Judges the people.

Judges 4:1-5 Now Deborah, a prophetess , the wife of Lapidoth, was judging Isreal at the time. And she would set under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the mountains of Ephraim. And the children of Isreal came up to her for Judgement.

As you continue to read chapter 4 of Judges you would see Deborah willing to do what God instructed her to do.
