God is My Fortress

-The Greek name for God is Theos.

-In Greek, the word for fortress is Frourio.

-In Latin, the word for fortress is Acre.

-In Aramaic, the word for fortress is Acra.

-Spiritually, the meaning of fortress is to have unfailing spiritual support. A fortress is a fortified place of protection.

-In Psalms 18:2 NLT it says, "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior. my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves, and my place of safety."

-God protects us from enemies as long as we are in right standing with him. We often times fight among each other, not understanding that it's not the person we are fighting, it's the spirit behind them. When Jesus died on the cross, it ripped the veil between God and Man. So, it's a spiritual battle we are fighting and not the individual. So, we must learn to lift one another up and stand in the gaps for each other as God protects us from this world of evil.
