What Does it Mean to be Sealed in Christ as a Believer?
The Latin word for seal is Sigillum
The Greek word for seal is Sfragida
The Hebrew word for seal is Latom
Biblically the word seal means security, identification, The Holy Spirit and confirmation that believers belong to God through Jesus Christ.
Ephesians Ch 4 v29&30 NKJV: Says Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for redemption.
Ephesians Ch1v13&14 NKJV: Says In him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until redemption of the purchased possession, to praise of his glory.
Remember brothers and sisters in Christ that we were brought with a price, so we are no longer without a father we belong to God. Being filled with the Holy Ghost is how we are sealed in the family of God
